The 80^th 4:09:11

So happy to complete my 80th Marathon in Madrid 😮. I never imagined that I would reach this number of Marathons.

A very beautiful experience at the country of runners, at the city with the best supporters everywhere, with so many monuments and history and of course at the city with excellent public transport, fully respecting active mobility and pioneer in 30km/h speed limits achieving high quality of mobility service and low numbers of road crashes.

A very difficult race, with continuous slopes up and down everywhere, amusing but tough and inevitably at slow pace, especially for me that I do not speed downwards. Ascent 355m and descent 376m. My verdict: more difficult than Athens Marathon.

On a very hot day, we started with 18oC and finished with 26oC, and I optimized my pace to finish fresh in 4 hours and 9 minutes 😀.

I also completed las 5 Grandes Maratones de España, entering the Hall of Fame of around 800 runners so far: Valencia 2022 – Sevilla 2024 – Barcelona 2024 – San Sebastian 2025 – Madrid 2026.
